   This review is for people that common sense about this technology and has even made a bit more research before you buy. I have found in video / film / animation industry for 15 years and have used a lot of equipment given for everything from multi-million dollar productions, documentaries, that rogue gorilla. This camera is for people who want to open the lid designed to something small and compact, shoot some videos for the memories and thas it. Virtually all camcorders under $ 800 will be shooting interlaced video, and what you do. It has full manual overide for focus and exposure. I read an article where a woman about the film and one reason the camera was complaining on the way in and out of focus. No problem, set it to manual and solved the problem. There are no more. MOD files problems. . all files are read. MPEG files now (you can download the latest software from the website) ** EDIT ** as I became aware that some people still get it. MOD file extension. I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 is installed on a computer and the program, it is PIXELA ImageMixer 3 version 4 and it will automatically come. MPEG-4 files. .    I bought this camera a few weeks ago and it is small. Less than I thought, but it’s not a bad thing, it is convenient to carry in your pocket or purse. I do not download or use of any software that comes with the camera, I have Sony Vegas on my computer. One thing I can recommend, is SDCOPY free programs you download online. Check the box wide and it will convert your. MOD files to mpg files with lightning speed. You should now be able to work with them in almost any editor. Use a card reader for SD cards instead of connecting the camera to the computer, make your life easier. I use a cheap, that came with my SD card.

   zoom is good and a steady hand or tripod is strongly recommended that long shot. Quick Start is the automatic lens cover is great, is also a good battery life.

   I really see no problem with this great little camera, other than shooting in low light conditions could be better, but not many of these cameras are good in low light.

   I have several digital cameras from Canon, so if I decided to buy a video camera, I immediately went to the Canon. I waited a month for this new version. I wanted a small video camera – and it is definitely less.

   I am a bit disappointed in the quality of the video. For films with full light, something that I can hardly, the difference between these films and those I take with my Canon PowerShot A570 IS Digital Camera! Also the sound is definitely better with the camcorder. For movies in low light (I was shooting my son’s jazz concert), there was a huge difference, so I decided to stick to the camera.

   I agree with the previous reviewer that the buttons on LCD screen is virtually useless in dark environments. I could not see them in concert I filmed.

   I also have some difficulty in the camera, because it is so small. I removed the “strap” The band came along because I could not get to be fit and safe nor allow me to customize buttons simultaneously. It felt as if the camera would get my hand away. I now use the extra strap that comes with the camera and even if it does not look “cool”, I’m not losing, handles the camera.

   My biggest Hasselhoff was that the camera saves video files as MOD files are a pain to process! They are not in most video editing programs (such as Adobe Premiere Elements are imported!), And the widescreen video can not be played in Windows Media Player, if you do not convert the file.

   The camera comes with a program to transfer, edit, and view the film – but it is complicated to use and also with the conversion, I still could not get the movies for import into Camtasia Studio 6, the software I use the most. So, after two days of searching the Internet, this is what I found works for me.

   First I use a card reader to the film to transfer files on my computer. This is much easier for me than the software supplied with the camera.

   Second I downloaded a free copy of SDCopy, and I use it to the MOD files into MPEG files. When I use the “widescreen” box to convert the converted window films are in widescreen to play Windows Media Player.

   The third converted movies import into Adobe Premiere, but they will not import Camtasia Studio 6 (that’s my goal). I can use Adobe Premiere to convert files into AVI files, but the process takes too long for me, so I found a better and easier way.

   4 I bought a MOD converter. The ones I decided Daniusoft Mode Converter for $ 29. It works well. With a MOD converter, MOD files I can convert to many other species will be imported in other programs, and play on other devices, such as an iPod. I use it to the files that I convert convert SDCopy. avi files that are imported into Camtasia.

   I ordered this, I can leave our holiday on the beach plate on my husband from Iraq. I am not very familiar with various video cameras, but after much research I decided on the Canon FS200 and I am pretty happy. I love that has flash memory that I can easily carry additional cards and replace them if necessary. It did not take too long to load and has a good battery life. The picture quality is good, takes the microphone and sound and the zoom is fantastic. I love how small and light. The price is also good. I am very happy with this camcorder.

   I bought this camera, 15 May 2009 to replace my Canon ZR200 camcorder, that the game strips about five months off. I loved my ZR200 and the fullness of the band that I use it filmed. I still think that band is the best form of archive known today!

   This review will focus on the features that appear on the product website. I congratulate Canon’s marketing staff in providing this overview.

   First Ultra-thin, compact and lightweight design
   The product is stylish, compact, and easy! UPS scale in my office was given camcorder battery and SDHC cards only 8 ounces Ninth

   Second Canon Exclusive: Genuine 41x Advanced Zoom Zoom
   This feature is only available in widescreen format. There is a wide-screen effect, giving you an additional 20% image area w / out an additional lens. In std (4:3) mode, you get the best optical 37x setting, is that is almost as good.

   Third Canon Exclusive: DIGIC DV II image processor
   This processor has been around for years and now offers an excellent image and video with optical zoom settings. Using the digital (2000x) zoom settings it does not seem to help much. But I was able to capture some good video of some. The 500-1000x using digital zoom settings. Thank you Canon!

   4 Superb Shooting Control – Video Snapshot, Quick Start, Quick Charge, Dual Shot, and more
   shooting controls are superberb. But you have to turn the knob to switch between video and photo mode. I think my last weapon allows for the simultaneous filming and photography.

   5 Stunning Digital Photography
   picture I took was the best I could hope for resolution 1024×780. As you would expect from Kodak was fantastic colors and light recognition was very good. I have not yet figured out how to get 5 frames per second (burst mode) operation depicted.

   6th 2nd 7 “widescreen LCD is
   This very helpful in the video is playing. I have 20/20 vision and can clearly see the clips that I just found. I also like the playback mode, which from rock to rock until you press the Pause button or until the end.

   I congratulate Canon’s product design staff to a product that I can have for years of enjoyment.
   When you capture video from your computer, you must be connected to the outlet. Otherwise it does not work. Therefore, I suggest you buy a USB / HD-card reader with this unit.
   
   with the cost of a 16GB Class 6 SDHC cards at $ 40, I do not know how Canon FS22 their (32 GB of internal memory) or FS21 (16GB internal storage), at the price they are asking.
   
   This is really a fantastic product!
